  International activity

The aspiration of Azerbaijan to integration into the world community assumes its active participation in the international and regional cooperation that allows introduce the new ideas, financial tools, to improve an infrastructure and a system of risks control. Striving to the development of international contacts, the BBVB cooperates with many leading foreign exchanges of the world as of New York, Tokyo, Frankfurt, London, Brussels, Istanbul, etc. With a view of improvement of professional skill, the employees of BBVB had receiving necessary practical and theoretical training abroad. İt is possible to consider a regular information exchange as one of directions of the international cooperation. BBVB has entered into partner agreements with Istanbul, Bulgarian, Moldavian, Moscow and Tbilisi Interbank Currency and Kazakhstan stock exchanges.
   The Baku interbank Currency Exchange has reached the basic arrangement on cooperation and interaction in the field of development of an exchange infrastructure. For the purpose of development of an infrastructure of the markets has been signed the agreement on collaboration. The document is a basis for development of closer cooperation between exchanges which includes information exchange and experience, introduction of new exchange products, developments of technologies and the organization of the exchange markets. The purpose of collaboration is assistance to development of the capital markets of two countries and to strengthening of competitiveness of exchanges in the conditions of globalization of the world financial markets, to adjustment of business contacts between professional participants of the market.
   On October, 2nd, 1998 the BBVB has received the status of the full member of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock exchanges (FEAS). On April, 20th, 2000 BBVB also became the cofounder of the International Association of Stock exchanges (IAEx) of CIS. Active cooperation with interstate bodies is carried out within the limits of CIS countries – Inter-parliamentary assembly, Executive committee of the CIS, Interstate currency committee and Interstate bank.
   On December, 17th, 1997 the World Federation of exchanges (WFE) has made decision to confirm the BBVB as a corresponding member of the WFE. Acceptance of the BBVB as a leading exchange of Azerbaijan in numbers of authoritative Federation reflects a recognition of the growing Azerbaijan industry among world business community.
   Therefore, using the world experience of formation of the international financial centers and as considering role of the BBVB in processes of integration and value of the BBVB market, it is possible to assume that the segment of the international financial market in Azerbaijan can be created on the basis of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange.
